Getaway
’s impressively broad editorial mix satisfies not only the 4x4 traveller, doughty adventurer and experienced hiker, but also the weekend escapee, concerned environmentalist, passionate photographer and armchair traveller; hence our payoff line: Going places, doing things in Africa.

Destinations are an important focus for Getaway, but so, too, is the gear readers like to use. Readers place great value on our accommodation and gear directories. Getaway provides all the information needed to plan a great, well-kitted holiday, while the website gives readers the tool to do this easily on-line.

Our latest innovation is true-to-print look and feel digital editions of Getaway magazine. This development allows us to create new revenue streams and provide value-added solutions for advertisers and subscribers while reducing our overall print, paper and postage costs. And in true Getaway style, it also allows us to promote an environmentally conscience solution to print.

Getaway supplements are specially designed and produced as added value for our readers – the research, writing, photography, design, production and marketing are handled by the Getaway team. Our annual supplements are currently Budget Getaways (March), Day Trippin’ (July), Best Camping Sites (September) and Coastal Guide (December).

Our digimags offer readers an easy-access electronic edition of the monthly magazines in the RamsayMedia stable, while giving advertisers another touchpoint for reaching audiences. The complete issue of consumers’ favourite magazines – at half of the cover price of the print editions!
