During a six-year stint at Bicycling South Africa, Brink was features, technical and online editor as well marketing manager, before assuming overall editorial responsibility of the magazine. He has also served as media manager for the Cape Epic.
For the past three years he has been at the helm of Classic Cars, pursuing is interest in motoring.
Brink is looking forward to the challenge of his new position and “has a few tricks” for delivering an enhanced editorial offering to Automobil’s readers.
“Automobil is the perfect vehicle to connect the association and its members, and members with each other through targeted, relevant editorial that will help them build better, more profitable businesses. Our plan is to build on the newly developed online and social media offerings to share the wealth and knowledge of the RMI membership, and the association's experts, more effectively,” he said.
Automobil, aimed at members of the Retail Motor Industry organisation (RMI), became the third title in the RamsayMedia Custom Publishing stable in March last year. It was joined by Ride, the division’s first consumer brand, and GCM (Golf Club Management) towards the end of last year.
